With the upcoming release of Daniela Nardi’s much-anticipated second cd, The Rose Tattoo in September 2008 (Minerva Road), music lovers are eager to hear what this smoldering, passionate performer, with a sensually alluring voice, has in store for them. Listeners to The Rose Tattoo can expect to hear everything they loved in Daniela’s first cd One True Thing (Minerva Road). But they will also hear a transformed Daniela. The 10 songs on the cd, all by Daniela, were written in a three year period during which her mother, Rose, was battling cancer. For The Rose Tattoo, Daniela worked with Juno Award winning producer Greg Kavanagh to help realize her vision of acoustic nu-jazz blended with electronic music. Together they have brought about an evolution and transformation in Daniela’s sophisticated sound, while preserving the essence of her earlier sound.
